SAGER-Ethics Working Group Meeting

30 September – 2 October 2026 |  Scientific Exchange Meeting | Geneva, Switzerland

Members of the SAGER-Ethics working group met in Geneva for a three-day Scientific Exchange Meeting dedicated to advancing the integration of sex and gender considerations into research ethics. Co-hosted by GENDRO, the Geneva Graduate Institute and the Institute of Social and Preventive Medicine (ISPM), University of Bern, and co-chaired by Shirin Heidari and Angèle Gayet-Ageron, the meeting brought together researchers and ethicists from a wide range of regions and disciplines. Over three days, participants contributed their expertise and diverse perspectives to refine the SAGER-Ethics recommendations and discuss the next steps for their development and dissemination.

The meeting was made possible through the generous support of the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) and the Council for International Organizations of Medical Sciences (CIOMS).
