With growing political attention and policy shifts at the EU level around closing the gender health gap and advancing women’s health, Ffion and Manon will share their perspectives from Brussels, sharing updates on new reports and strategies, shifting policies and opportunities to engage in advocacy.
About the speakers
Ffion Storer Jones is Deputy Head of EU Advocacy at the Brussels office of DSW, a global health NGO. Ffion leads the advocacy and policy portfolio on research and innovation, focused on global collaboration in areas of unmet health need, including infectious diseases, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and women’s health. She holds a BSc in Medical Physiology, and since graduating in 2015, she has worked at the intersection of science and policy across global trade, research, food, health and development issues.
Manon Kayser is Policy and Advocacy Officer in the Brussels office of DSW, a global health NGO. She advocates for increased funding and stronger policies in neglected areas of health, including women’s health, infectious diseases and sexual and reproductive health and rights. She has a background in political science and international relations and previously worked for the International Planned Parenthood Federation and Global Health Advocates.
